Housing Opportunities at the ILC
The International Living Center features two apartment buildings, housing approximately 100 students in newly constructed, some-free apartments. Located in a redwood grove behind the College Nine and College Ten Academic Buildings, there are a numerous of hiking trails and running trails just outside the ILC.
Each apartment houses between four and six students in a mix of single and triple rooms. At this time, there are no doubles available in the ILC. Some apartments have six students sharing two triple rooms, others have four students in four single rooms, and others have five students in a mix of singles and triples. Students will pay the standard university rate for an apartment single or triple.
Each apartment is smoke-free and comes with either a patio (for ground floor apartments) or a balcony. There is a shared living room, which is furnished with a dinning room table and chairs; with a sofa and arm chairs; with small tables; and with a lamp. The shared kitchen contains a stove and oven, a full sized refrigerator, a sink, and numerous cabinets for storage. There are no dishes or cookware or microwaves in the apartments, and residents are responsible for coordinating with their flatmates to ensure those items are brought. The bathrooms is also shared, and contains a standing shower, a toilet, a double-sink, and storage space. Each bedroom comes furnished with an extra-long twin mattress bed, a desk, a chair, a two-drawer filing cabinet, a dresser, and a wardrobe or closet for each resident. (Meaning that triple rooms will have three of each, and single rooms will have one of each). There is also often a storage area in each apartment. The living room and bedrooms are carpeted, the kitchen and bathroom are tiled. All rooms have windows, which come with window blinds.
