Pronouns: He/Him/His

About Me: As a son of two immigrant parents, I did not know much about college other than it was something that I should want to pursue. Looking back at my time as a UCSC undergrad, I feel as if I missed something during my time here. This is why I believe it is important to support students in navigating higher ed institutions and having meaningful educational experiences instead of just earning a diploma. I look forward to being an advocate and partner in your educational journey. Outside of work hours, you can find me being involved with community theater, discovering new music and spending time with friends/family/loved ones.

About Me: A proud Alumna banana slug from the South Bay, I was a transfer student from West Valley College to UC Santa Cruz and graduated with my BA in Psychology and an Education minor in 2016 with honors. I first found my love for advising as a Peer Advisor for the Pyschology & Cognitive Science department here at UCSC, which led me to my Leadership and Social change program at De Anza College and SFSU for their Masters in Counseling program for College and Career Counseling.

I like to take a holistic and person-centered advising approach when engaging with students to support you all in achieving your acdemic, career, and personal goals as well as hopefully empowering you all to be the author of your story and an agent of change in the world.

When I'm not helping students, I enjoy spending my idle time watching anime and other shows under the comfort of a weighted blanket and a cuddly cat, playing games like Pokémon or Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, cheering on my favorite Grand Sumo rikishi during honbasho and the San Jose Sharks during Hockey season, or going out to enjoy some sips and bites.
