Under the supervision of the college programs coordinator (CPC) and assistant college programs coordinator (ACPC), the Fall Planning Assistant (FPA) helps plan and implement Welcome Week, Summer Orientation, and other activities to welcome new students to College Nine, College Ten, and UCSC. The FPA is the primary lead for the College Guide (CG) team, participates in CG recruitment and hiring in the spring, and helps plan all aspects of CG training. The FPA works 20-40 hours per week during the summer with up to 40 hours during student staff training and Welcome Week in the fall.

There is one FPA position available at Colleges Nine and Ten starting. The position begins in Spring Quarter, and continues through Summer and Fall Quarter.

The application period for the 2020/21 Colleges Nine and Ten Fall Planning Assistant positions is now open! The deadline for application submissions is Wednesday, April 22nd, 4pm. 

There are three parts to the Fall Planning Assistant Application:

1. The Online Application

• Visit the Career Center's Employee Request System. Search for ER# 4273 under non work-study, and apply.

2. The Supplemental Application

• Please allow yourself enough time to answer the supplemental questions.

• You will also be asked to select a prefered and interview time, as well as two back-ups. Please hold the dates you select on your calendar.

3. Two References

• Ask two people who can speak objectively of your skills and abilities to serve as references, for example previous employers, professors, activity advisors, etc. Direct them to our Online Reference form at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1pGcz2XkiUlqItLTOHqYNCQOR8GEIv5sWl3BZCwKZSMU/viewform

• You may also ask your RA or another student leader who knows you, though only one reference can come from a student leader.

• Ask your references well ahead of the deadline so they have time to accommodate your request.
