Service Learning

Service Learning is a teaching and learning approach that integrates community services with academic study to enrich learning, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities. Service learning aims to develop in students a lifelong commitment to service and leadership. It promotes understanding of local issues as well as recognition of the interrelatedness of communities and societies across the world.

"Experience enhances understanding; understanding leads to more effective action." - Eyler and Giles
