The Spring Programming Assistant (SPA) is part of the College Nine and College Ten Programs & Activities Team and works under the general supervision of the College Programs Coordinator (CPC) and Assistant College Programs Coordinator (ACPC). Working with the CPC and the ACPC, the Spring Programing Assistant helps to plan and implement the College Nine and College Ten Commencement Ceremonies. The Spring Programming Assistant serves as the first point of contact between the Activities Office and prospective graduates and is heavily involved in the creation and implementation of commencement related materials.

There is one Commencement Assistant position available at Colleges Nine and Ten. The position is for Winter and Spring Quarters.

The 2019 recruitment begins on Friday, October 25 and runs through Friday, November 15th at 12pm.

There are three parts to the Spring Programming Assistant Application:

1. The Online Application

• Visit the Career Center's Employee Request System. Search for ER# 3556 under either work-study or non work-study, and apply.

2. The Supplemental Application

• Please allow yourself enough time to answer the supplemental questions.

• You will also be asked to indicated which of our available interview times you can attend. Please select all you can attend. Please hold the dates and times you select on your calendar.

3. Two References

• Ask two people who can speak objectively of your skills and abilities to serve as references, for example previous employers, professors, activity advisors, etc. Direct them to our Online Reference form here.

• You may also ask your RA or another student leader who knows you, though only one reference can come from a student leader.

• Ask your references well ahead of the deadline so they have time to accomodate your request.
